It’s July!!

Well I had a goos nigts sleep, and we thought that the character breakfast was on today but it turns out that a Wednesday is the day it isnt on! Typical! So we decided to get ready and head back to the beach.

It was so cold at the beach – well not so much cold more breezy, we are set to get thunderstorms tonight and you could really feel the heat when the wind died down. We didn’t stay at the beach long as the kids we getting cold and we couldn’t even put up our wind-breaker as the wind was that strong, so we packed up and Max fell asleep in the car so I decided we should go for a drive and find something for is to do.

We ended up at Alnwick Castle. I have driven past the signs for this place so many times on our journeys to Newcastle but have never had an opportunity to visit. It was quiet expensive to get in, cost us Β£35 to get in! I might have to look at the National Trust or historic Scotland/England membership, as would love to do more stuff like this.

Anyway it was huge and there were tons to see and do, Downtown Abby and Harry Potter were filmed here and they actually had Broomstick lessons! We weren’t able to get tickets to take part in that as it was fully booked but we did manage to watch other people take part.

They has this wee thing that was called the Dragon Challenge – you walked through this place that was pitch black, there were spooky stuff as you can see below and Jack was scared do he didn’t go in with Mum and I took Max and Lucy through but they were fine until they saw Nana leave

I love it πŸ™‚

I think we must have walked for miles today – I am sure if I have pedometer I would have clocked well over a thousand steps! We spent a good few hours there and it was well worth the money, We headed back to the caravan and had Chinese for dinner! I was yum!

Well roll on bedtime as I am shattered, hope the thunderstorm doesn’t get too wild!
