Week 2 #project365 6th – 12th Jan

#6 Mon 6th January

I have been waiting since Sept for this World of Warcraft Tarot Deck to finally ship! Amazing kept pushing the delivery, so much so that I thought it was going to be cancelled.

#7 Tue 7th January

Christmas may be over but when I was doing the food shopping I couldn’t resist picking up this paperback in Aldi for 49p!!! It will take me ages to read no doubt as I tend to read paperbacks when in the bath.

#8 Wed 8th Jan

Bargains galore for me this week I couldn’t resist this cute little phone case from home bargains for £1.49!

#9 Thur 9th Jan

No photo today, took the day off as was going to my Uncles funeral

#10 Fri 10th Jan

Lucy lost her flute on the way home from school yesterday she was absolutely devastated. But she sent me this photo on her way home today! She found it!! A little bit frosty but otherwise all intact.

#11 Sat 11th Jan

We have had insane -5 temps this week which caused the heating condensation pipe to freeze so I was up at 8am this morning trying to unfreeze the pipe to get the heating on! A few kettles and a lot of banging saw all the ice come shooting out, and the heating working again. Had to leave the pipe off just incase we get more freezing temps as apparently this just goes into the ground instead of into something else I forget what they said. So if the ground is frozen then obviously it has no where to go.

#12 Sun 12th Jan

Had a bit of a potter about the garden this morning checking pots and I was excited to see that my black tulips are making a start in growing again this year.

  • It’s been a chilly week here too, though thankfully, without any domestic accidents with the frozen pipes. I wouldn’t even know where to start if it happens.
Glad Lucy found the flute bag, amazing that nobody has taken it.
Looking forward to seeing your black tulips when they begin to bloom.

  • It’s lovely to see those Tulips starting to grow, I do love the winter but get very excited when signs of spring arrive.
We have had that issue with our pipes before, thankfully it’s usually pretty simple to sort out yourself.
It’s great that Lucy found her flute albeit a little more frosty.
    Have a lovely week ahead.

  • Oh lucky about being able to deice/frost the pipes. Nightmare otherwise. And phew about the flute. Lucky there too. It’s lovely to see the flowers sprouting isn’t it. Ours have been sprouting for a while before the frost, and the random cornflowers and poppies I planted late summer are still flowering. They’re pretty hardy things.

  • That World of Warcraft tarot set is beautiful! I used to play WOW. hehehe I love that phone case too, what a bargain!
So sorry about your uncle! Thinking of you and your family.
Oh wow! How lucky that Lucy found her flute and well done with fixing the frozen pipe! x

  • Love the phone case. So sorry for the loss of your uncle. What a relief for Lucy finding her flute on her way home from school. Lovely to see the tulips starting to grow. #project365

  • So sorry to hear about your loss, hope the funeral went ok.

  • Sorry to learn of your loss. Love the phone case and also the World of Warcraft tarot set is stunning, seems like they were worth the wait!

  • Sorry to hear about your Uncle, hope the funeral went as well as these things can go. Glad Lucy found her flute, that must have been a relief for her. Shame about the boiler pipes, sounds like you know what you’re doing though to keep the boiler going. Lovely phone cover case, I need a new one, mine is all cracked and covered in peeling and faded stickers from my grandson.
