Levi Koenig is a very interesting take on a modern version of Shakespears King Lear – whilst  I love some of Shakespeare works I hate to admit that King Lear has been one I haven’t read yet – though I know the premise of it.

This book follows three sisters as they try to decide what to do with their ageing father and we get to know each character quite well throughout the book. There are a lot of aspects in the book that people today can and will relate to – I know I certainly can remember my mum having to go through the same thing with her brother when my Papa was ailing.

For those that have read the original I highly recommend this book as it will definitely open up things up for discussion, I for one want to read Shakespeare version. This was a great book and I found it interesting and couldn’t put it down.
