I have loved the other books I have read by Diane Saxon, and The Good Twin is one twisted tale! Skye and Summer are identical twins, but after their mothers sudden and unexpected death the twins who were so close were suddenly separated. When Skye leaves to go to University at leaving Summer behind, she finds herself alone and finds solace LJ who she met online. Summer has shared everything with LJ, even things she can’t tell her father or sister and when she decides to meet him little does she know that it will be the last time she will see her family again.
Summer and her father are devastated by the loss of Skye, but life has moved on and sees her father remarry. But on the day of the wedding a strange call comes through the landline that shook Summer!
This is one twisted tale, and we are privy to what has been happening to Skye over the years that she has been kidnapped and then following the phone call we see Summer piece together that her sister is alive and subsequently finding her, but getting to that point is harrowing. What Skye had endured was just awful to read and how she became so reliant on her captor via Stockholm syndrome, as there were many chances to escape but she was just so broken.
