Isle of Skye Apartment Review
Full disclosure this is NOT an ad, sponsored or paid post, I purchased this trip myself and I want to share my honest review.

In my February goals post I spoke about taking Lee away for his 40th birthday as an early present. I really couldn’t think what to get him, as he doesn’t really want anything and everything camera related costs a shed load of money. So I decided to take him to the Isle of Skye, prayed we would have good weather and we could go and explore and he take some pictures of the epic scenery.
I manged to get booked for three nights Fri-Mon, when the kids were off school so we bundled them off to Nana’s for the weekend and set off on a 5 hour drive! The Friday saw Storm Eric hit us so it was a pretty crap drive weather wise, though still stunning and rugged at the same time.
I found this beautiful apartment on AirBnB – this was my first time using this service and I have heard horror stories, but this place was amazing and exactly as pictured and described on the site.

We arrived late in the afternoon, and just after a rain storm. So we quickly made it up the stairs and into the apartment before another downfall so the pic above was taken when we were leaving.
We had our own dedicated parking space and the apartment was accessed by a little gate and a flight of stairs. At the top was a decked area and trees to the back, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the decking due the weather, but in the summer (midgie’s permitting) it would be amazing to use especially with the views over Loch which was right opposite!
The apartment sits on the banks of Storr Loch’s nestled into the Trotternish ridge below the most iconic Skye landmark, the Old Man of Storr. Honestly the view were just amazing!

The Interior:
When we opened the door we were met with the open plan, kitchen bedroom and living room space. Check out that view of the loch from the windows! Honestly the place was stunning and the pictures really don’t do it justice!

I totally forgot to take a photo of the kitchen, but it was fulled kitted out. And the host had even stocked the fridge with mill and orange juice, as well as some breakfast items – porridge, tea bags and coffee.
I totally fell in love with this place, it was decorated beautifully and the bathroom had the best bathtub ever! Not only was the bath amazing they had underfloor heating!!

This was booked via AirB&B and when we stayed it was £100 per night with a min 2 night stay + £46 service fee
Total: £346

Overall:
This was everything I could have hoped for, for my first AirBnB experience. The apartment was exactly as pictured and described. It was furnished to a high standard and it has been well maintained and looked after by everyone who been here. The owners have took the time to make sure you will have the most comfortable stay possible, from the breakfast items to the selection of board games, we were lucky with weather though that we didn’t need to use them.
I am totally in love with the duvet and pillows that they had and I am on the lookout for them for our house they were that good! Hungarian Goose Duvet in case you are wondering.
If you are looking a nice weekend getaway surrounded by beautiful Scottish Scenery then I cant recommend this apartment enough, it is certainly one that I would love to stay in again thats for sure!
