** I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review**

BASED ON A TRUE STORY:
It’s December 17, 1931. Nelly Don, millionaire fashion designer, has been kidnapped. It’s no ordinary kidnapping and no ordinary rescue attempt. Before it’s over, a powerful Senator may see his downfall and a Syndicate Crime Boss will have played a major role.
REVIEW
This book is based on a true story, and I really enjoyed reading this, and loved being thrown back in time to the 1930’s. The author has done a great job at writing about this period time and I really got engrossed into the story from the get go. It does start off slow but it sets the story up, we learn all about Nelly and how she basically went from nothing to having her own clothing company. It was a fascinating read how she achieved that during the great depression.
As I said this is based on a true story I loved how Patrice has weaved a story around the event that happened, and whilst I have never heard of Nelly Don after reading it I just had to google her. I am not one for reading this kind of genre but I absolutely loved this one and even recommend it to my mum who has since got it and she loved it also.
If you are looking for a book to grab your interest and hold you through the the twists and turn then this is definitely the book for you.
