[Book Review] Sleepy Hollow by Dax Varley

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion*

My Review

I am huge fan of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving and I jumped at the chance to review this book.

Sleepy Hollow is Dax Varley’s retelling of the classic and I loved that this was told from the female perspective of Katrina, and I think she has done a great job in this the retelling in her version.  This is geared at young adult – and I read a lot of that genre (its nice to not have a book filled with sex all the time!) and for a YA there is a high body count, but then you would expect nothing less from The Horseman.

This has it all, humour, mystery, horror and romance all tied into one book. The story and the characters were well played out and as I don’t ever give spoilers, I will say that the twist at the end was one I was not expecting. – brilliant!

Love it and cant to wait to read Dax Varley next installment Return to Sleepy Hollow!
