Week 7 #Project365 (+1) 11th Feb – 17th Feb

42/365 – Sunday 11th February

Enjoyed my last Sunday off! Sundays are my day of nothingness but that’s all going to change, so I need to get more organised with washing etc during the week.

43/365 – Monday 12th Feb

Kids are off school today for half term. Useless holiday if you ask me as they have only been back a month!

Had a lazy day catching up on washing making sure everything is washed for school on Wednesday.

44/365 – Tuesday 13th

First shift down at Tesco. Lots of training then I was on the checkout with someone watching over me. It was manic and I think I got every security tag going which is great as now I know how to take them off before I’m let loose in the till on my own.

45/365 – Wednesday 14th

Happy Valentine Day! We don’t normally celebrate it but for some reason I was feeling a little emotional that we don’t, but he presented me with roses (on Monday) and a mug and candle today.

46/365 – Thursday 15th

47/365 – Friday 16th

Second shift and had more training then I was out on a till with a buddy behind it was good and I feel it’s so much better doing something hands on rather than reading about it. Not had to ask anyone for ID as of yet, so that will be my next hurdle to overcome 🙂

48/365 – Saturday 17th

Happy birthday to hubby! We thought we would chance it and go to lunch at our favourite Chinese but it was fully booked! I thought they would have had some walk in tables free, never mind we went to the Fork and Mustard instead for an all day breakfast, but he was still hankering after a Chinese so we decided to call in a takeaway. He was happy as he got his birthday treat and I was happy las I got my fave meal – salt and pepper tofu.

  • It sounds like your first shift went great! Well done!
Aww! What lovely flowers and such a cute cup!
That’s a shame the Chinese was fully booked, I am glad you got one eventually. It looks so good. x

  • Well done on your first week, it is daunting at first but you will soon get the hang of it and the ID thing will be ok – most teenagers know you’ll ask for ID these days so routinely carry it

  • Glad your first shifts went well. Those Valentine’s flowers are beautiful and I love the mug. Hope your hubby had a nice birthday – glad he got his Chinese after all! #project365
