Week 6 #Project365 (+1) 4th Feb – 10th Feb

Week 5 of #Project365 (+1)

4th Feb – 10thFebruary!

35/365 – Sunday 4th February

Had a little clear out of the kids clothes and managed to fill these bags! They are going to Charity shop and free Facebook page, but I have kept some pieces to see how I can fair selling them on Vinted.

36/365 – Monday 5th February

Lucy is off on a school trip to a production studio today for a behind the scenes look at the work of TV, they even get to learn how to make their own news report.  I went with Max last October and it’s really great what they get to do and learn.

Also I got the job in Tesco!!! It’s a 16.5hr a week contract on a Tuesday, Fri and Sunday which suits me perfect and it’s 11-5 during the week and 12-6 on a Sunday, I have to go in Thursday for an induction and I reckon I will start next week.

Had to cancel my dentist appointment for next Tuesday in case I start that day (sounds weird to say that!) and I had to move my JC appointment for Thursday to next Monday. Not sure if I am still supposed to be looking for work or not as this is only part time….

37/365 – Tuesday 6th February

Had a little impromptu lunch with hubby today, we were taking some stuff over to his studio and decided whilst we were out and had time to have a wee bit lunch.

Our go to place is Fork & Mustard, the food is always amazing there – he’d had the all day breakfast and I have to admit I went a bit rogue today and will suffer terribly for this but I had a ‘Posh Piece’ – which was a ham and cheese toastie topped with a cheese sauce and a fried egg. It has been a good four years since I’ve had dairy hence why I know that this will not agree with my stomach. I have fallen off the wagon and I now feel guilty. But I was just totally craving cheese today. Was it worth the pain after, no it wasn’t.

38/365 – Wednesday 7th February

When you get told a kid in class has nits you have to break this stuff out.

We had a bad case of nits last year and I have been on top of it, or at least I had thought I was, but I caught a few louse and several eggs. Hate the little buggers and Lucy was upset but she told me a girl in her class has had them loads recently. Confident I got them all and checked the boys out and they are all clear.

39/365 – Thursday 8th February

I had my induction today, lots of information and training and my head is picked a bit but I am excited and raring to get going. I’m starting next Tue.

40/365 – Friday 9th February

The kids are off school for our Feb long weekend holiday, not really a half term as such as it’s just three days but I always find this one to be pointless since they have only been back to school for about month!

Our neighbour on the right is home so we chatted about the fence, will sort something out once the weather calms down and also when the ground dries up a bit. But in looking at that fence we noticed the left one was taking a good old battering today due to the winds (so ready for these storms to be over) and discovered a post was damaged (see photo) urgh! How it’s still standing is beyond me!? Both the fences are rotted and definitely needing replaced as the ground is literally like a mossy bog and very clayey so it’s never going to be dry.

41/365 – Saturday 10th February

Took the littles shopping as they wanted to get valentines cards (I am so not really for these two to have crushes let alone boy/girl friends!) also dropped Jack off as he was getting bus to his girlfriends – wish they would all stop growing up. Then headed home and had a chilled afternoon, I’m tasked with organising the school leavers jumpers for Max P7 class so was sorting out the spreadsheet for that. I must be mad for agreeing to organise it!

  • Congrats on getting the job. Hope it goes well.

I recently sorted out my toddlers clothes too and gave away 3 bagfuls to the charity shop!

  • Good luck with the selling on Vinted, I keep meaning to try it out.
Lucy’s school trip sounds like a lot of fun!
Congrats on the new job! I hope it goes well.
Oh wow! That toastie looks so good but it’s such a shame it wasn’t worth the pain.
Ugh! Hedrin, I used to go through gallons of the stuff when my girls were little all because one parent wouldn’t treat their child for nits!
I hope you get the fence sorted soon. x

  • Congratulations on the new job, exciting times. Hope it works out well for you. Thankfully we’ve only had one (nursery) incidence of nits that we found. He managed to avoid it at school. Good job on the clearing out. I’m doing a 40 in 40 days declutter which is going well so far. I love Vinted, so if you want tips on selling, there’s a mammoth post on my blog!

  • The behind the scenes look at the work of TV sounds like fun and congratulations on the new job……which dept are you on?

  • Congratulations on the new job. I did try to comment on last weeks post but for some reason it wouldn’t let me. The TV studio visit sounds fab. We’re waiting for our neighbours to fix their fence post, we’re currently propping it up from our side. Good luck with the selling on vinted.
