365 prompt: Call me, maybe
#365DoB
I am following along with the daily prompts from the 365 days of blogging PDF from The Daily Post. If you are following along let me know in the comments.
Describe your relationship with your phone.
Is it your lifeline, a buzzing nuisance, or something in between?
I am sure I am not alone when I say that I have an unhealthy relationship with my phone. Gone are the years when all I could do was call and text and play the odd game of snake (yeah I had a Nokia – best phone ever in those days I might add).
And now?
Well now I have the entire world at my fingertips no matter where in the world I am or what time it is, and all at the touch of a button. I very rarely use my phone to call anyone other than Lee or my mum as I spend most of time communicating via Whatsapp or Facebook Msg.
Is it my lifeline?
Damn straight it is, and I have only myself to blame for allowing it to rule my life – in the age of social media I am addicted and I find myself constantly checking the apps religious throughout the day. Lee was joking the other day about getting a “normal” phone again, meaning one that doesn’t do everything we have become accustomed to nowadays. And you know what I am tempted to as well.
( I don’t have original credit for this image it was on FB as well as google search the link at bottom came up as not trusted site ?? )
I should just delete all my apps and just use it as an actual phone and camera for a change for one day and see how I go…. I would probably have withdrawal symptoms, in fact I know I would!
Maybe worth a little experiment here…..
