@thebesociety Sept challenge day 3 – Country Description

Why not join in with us for this months challenge over at the Blogging Empire Society? we would love to have you 🙂

3. Country Description: describe the country you are from or that you live in, both the good and the bad.

Scotland, Land of the Brave!

Well apparently this is the slogan… lol

I am born, raised and still live here, and I have to say I pretty much love my country – politics aside its a decent place to live. We are going through a huge referendum right now to vote for Independence from the rest of the UK so its a pretty important time for my country. Not going to get into that side of thing just yet….lol

Scotland is a beautiful place and where I live, just about an hour drive north (if that) and you are in beautiful countryside with rolling hills and windy roads.

We are a friendly bunch, but also mad if you get on our wrong side.

We have a great free healthcare – NHS (which is subsidized by taxes from our pay) and I would rather have it that way than what other countries have by means of a healthcare system (ie USA) The Scottish Government has managed to bring in free prescriptions for all which I think is great.

Like every county we have our bad points but hey what country doesn’t?

The only bad thing is the weather. Its pretty much grey and wet most of the time and any little bit of sun that does come out you see the nutter in their shorts and t-shirts, even in the winter months sometimes 😉 (j/k)
