31 Days of Spooky Movies Week 2 2022

We are away for half term weekend so wont be able to watch any horror movies between 14-17th Oct so I will have to see what I can squeeze in before or I am going to have a great marathon on the 18th!.
8. The Village in the Woods (2019)
synopsis: Every village, every person, has a secret…none more so than the inhabitants of this isolated, murky village whose fate relies on the luring of two unsuspecting pawns to satisfy their appetite and determine their being.

This has been on my prime watch list for the longest time so decided to finally watch it. Its a British horror which I didn’t realise until I put it on, I recognised some of the actors in it but it didn’t really help. This movie was such a slow burner, and the acting was just stilted and poor it was almost as if it was down by film students not a film studio. I finished it barely but don’t waste your time. There is something to be said about watching movies you like and love lol
9. Final Destination 2 (2003)
synopsis: Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) is the only survivor from Flight 180 and has been placed in a mental institution as she lives in constant fear that Death is coming to claim her. Kimberly (A.J. Cook) has a premonition of a horrible highway accident killing multiple people — including her and her friends. She blocks the cars behind her on the ramp from joining traffic — and as a police trooper (Michael Landes) arrives, the accident actually happens. Now, Death is stalking this group of mistaken survivors — and one by one they are dying as they were supposed to on the highway.
10. Final Destination 3 (2006)
synopsis: After a high school senior, Wendy Christensen (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), has a fatal premonition of a disastrous roller-coaster accident that involves her and her friends, she warns everyone and luckily gets herself and many of her friends off the roller-coaster before it sets off. When the roller-coaster sets off, it crashes, just like in her premonition. But the unseen forces of darkness once again set out to kill the survivors that were supposed to die in the freak accident.
11. The Final Destination (2009)
synopsis: A day at the races turns grisly after teenager Nick O’Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a nightmare about one of the cars crashing and killing him and all his friends. He manages to warn his friends and they escape the grisly accident, which happens as he foretold – but little do the survivors know that this is only the beginning, as Death sets out to collect those who evaded their fate in a series of ever more creative and gruesome ways.
12. Final Destination 5 (2011)
synopsis: Fifth film in the darkly comic teen horror series. A select few somehow manage to make it out alive after a bridge collapses. Having cheated death, they soon realise their days are now numbered as normally straightforward activities such as laser eye surgery, gymnastics and acupuncture go horribly wrong. Can any of the survivors find a way to change their destiny?
13. Case 39
synopsis: In her many years as a social worker, Emily Jenkins (Renée Zellweger) thinks she has seen it all — until she meets 10-year-old Lilith (Jodelle Ferland) and the girl’s cruel parents. When the parents try to harm the child, Emily assumes custody of Lilith while looking for a foster family. However, she soon finds that dark forces surround the seemingly innocent child, and the more she tries to protect Lilith, the more horrors she encounters.
14.The Devil Inside (2012)
synopsis: Twenty years after Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) murdered three people, her daughter, Isabella (Fernanda Andrade), seeks the truth about that terrible night. Isabella travels to an Italian hospital for the criminally insane — where Maria is locked away — to find out whether her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed. With the help of two young exorcists (Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth), Isabella tries to cure Maria — and engages four demons in a battle for her mother’s soul.
